What drives the price
Linear feet of roofline
The biggest factor. Long single-story homes and two-story homes both add footage fast.
Height and access
Second stories, steep pitches and hillside lots need more equipment and time. Angi notes riskier roof jobs can cost about 20% more.
Palms and trees
Tall palms can be the single most dramatic element and one of the costliest: Angi lists up to $1,275 for trees 30 feet or taller.
Bulbs and design
Commercial-grade LEDs, C9 bulbs and custom-fit strands cost more than store-bought sets, and last longer.
Season service and takedown
Packages that include burned-out bulb service, January takedown and storage cost more upfront and save the hassle.
Why larger homes cost more
Price follows footage and height. A Paradise Valley estate with long parapets, tall palms and a gated drive can easily need several times the lights and hours of a small one-story home. That is why full-property designs on larger homes often start around $1,500.
